Stan Walker’s A Symphonic Experience plays three New Zealand dates in 2026: The Trusts Arena in Auckland on Saturday 17 October (sold out), Wolfbrook Arena in Christchurch on 7 November, and TSB Arena in Wellington on Friday 20 November. Each show pairs his live band with a 30-piece orchestra.
The concerts are Walker’s first major headline shows in six years and mark 17 years since he won Australian Idol in 2009. Wellington was added in September after Auckland sold out.

What the show is
Walker’s band plays alongside a 30-piece orchestra, with his whole catalogue rearranged. He told Rolling Stone Australia in July that his earlier orchestral appearances had been short: “I’ve never done a full show with an orchestra.”
He described the show this way: “It will be a rollercoaster. It’ll be like sitting inside a movie, but it’s a concert.” He also said: “I’m going to have my kids on stage with me.”
Songs confirmed for the setlist in that interview include “Black Box”, “Take It Easy”, “I Am”, “Māori Ki Te Ao”, “Aotearoa”, “Holding You” and “Choose”.
Speaking to Waatea News, Walker compared his usual concerts to “welcoming audiences into the front room of his whare”, and said the symphonic production “opens the rest of the house”.
