Laneway Festival Auckland 2027 is on Sunday 21 February 2027 at Western Springs, with Hayley Williams (billed as The Hayley Williams Show) and Fontaines D.C. at the top of the bill. It is an 18+ event, tickets are on sale through Ticketek, and the Auckland show is the last stop of the 2027 tour.
That makes 2027 a little different from recent years. Laneway has moved off the Waitangi weekend slot it used in 2025 and 2026, it is on a Sunday rather than a Thursday, and for the first time New Zealand gets the tour finale rather than an early date. Here is what is confirmed as of 31 October 2026, and what organisers have not announced yet.
When is Laneway Auckland 2027?
Laneway Auckland 2027 is on Sunday 21 February 2027 at Western Springs, a fortnight after Waitangi Day. It is a one-day festival and the final date of the 2027 run, after Sydney on 12 February, Brisbane on 13 February and Melbourne on 19 February. Gate and finish times have not been published yet.
| City | Date | Venue | Age |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sydney | Friday 12 February 2027 | Centennial Park | 16+ |
| Brisbane | Saturday 13 February 2027 | Brisbane Showgrounds | 16+ |
| Melbourne | Friday 19 February 2027 | Flemington Park | 16+ |
| Auckland | Sunday 21 February 2027 | Western Springs | 18+ |
The 2027 tour has no Adelaide or Perth shows. Organisers said the pause came down to the logistics of running several festivals across Australia and New Zealand in a short window. In Auckland the festival spreads across the refurbished Western Springs Bowl and the neighbouring Western Springs Park, as 1News reported when the date was confirmed in August.
Who is in the Laneway Auckland 2027 line-up?
The Auckland line-up is led by Fontaines D.C. and Hayley Williams, with Slayyyter, ADÉLA, Kim Petras and Ninajirachi next on the poster. Kiwi acts include Balu Brigada, Greatsouth, Mokomokai, Office Dog and O & The Mo. For Hayley Williams these are her first New Zealand shows as a solo artist.

The line-up was revealed on 30 September 2026. Fontaines D.C., the Irish rock band, make their Laneway debut in New Zealand, and both headliners are expected to play extended sets drawing on their newest albums.

Is the Laneway line-up any good this year?
The 2027 poster has no A-list pop headliner like Charli xcx in 2025 or Chappell Roan in 2026, and some fans said so online. Writer Chris Schulz argued that “Laneway’s gone back to its roots”, praised the strong local section, and expects the poster to grow before February.
In his piece for The Spinoff, Schulz pointed to how crowded the summer is. Bruno Mars has three sold-out nights at Eden Park, Olivia Dean plays Western Springs Bowl, Dom Dolla takes Laneway’s old Waitangi weekend slot at the Auckland Domain, and Electric Avenue starts in Christchurch five days after Laneway.
Laneway Auckland 2027 tickets and prices
Laneway Auckland 2027 tickets are sold through Ticketek, the agent Auckland Stadiums lists for the show. Presale opened at 11am NZDT on Wednesday 7 October 2026 and general sale at 11am on Thursday 8 October.
The announcements we checked did not include an Auckland price list, so check the current ticket tiers on Ticketek before you buy. Accessible seating is available. Buying through Ticketek, the listed agent, is the safest option.
Is Laneway Auckland 18+?
Yes. Laneway Auckland 2027 is strictly 18+, while the Australian shows are 16+. Everyone must show accepted photo ID at the gate: a New Zealand photo driver licence or learner permit, a current passport from any country, or a Kiwi Access Card. People without accepted ID are refused entry with no refund.
This matters because of what happened in 2025, when Laneway made a late call to stop under-18s attending in Auckland after tickets had already been sold to 16 and 17-year-olds. For 2027 the age limit was set from the start.
Laneway Auckland set times and start time
Set times and gate times for Laneway Auckland 2027 have not been released. The Auckland Stadiums event page says timings “will be confirmed closer to the event”. We will add the full stage times to this page as soon as they are published.
Getting to Laneway at Western Springs
There is no onsite parking at Western Springs, and some nearby streets will be closed on the day. Public transport is the easiest option. The nearest train stations are Morningside and Baldwin Avenue, and buses and trains run from the city centre.
- Parking: limited street and business parking only, with road closures and parking restrictions to be confirmed closer to the day
- Mobility parking: still being finalised, and you can register interest through Auckland Stadiums (registering does not guarantee a space)
- Bikes: there is no dedicated bike parking, but there is a bike dock on the left of Stadium Road towards the entrance, used at your own risk
What can you bring to Laneway Auckland?
Bag size limits apply, and Auckland Stadiums says to check its conditions of entry closer to the event for the full list. Some rules are already set. Footwear must be worn at all times, and gang patches and high-visibility clothing are not allowed.
- Soft banners, flags without poles and posters up to A3 are allowed if they don’t block anyone’s view
- Larger flags and anything on a pole are not allowed and can’t be stored onsite
- No professional audio or video recording gear
Laneway Auckland in past years
Laneway started in Caledonian Lane in Melbourne in 2005, founded by Jerome Borazio and Danny Rogers, and came to Auckland in 2010. The 2023 Auckland edition was cancelled because of the Auckland Anniversary Weekend floods.
